Socket is seeking a skilled Utilities Locator to join our talented workforce. This role is responsible for locating underground utility lines for the fiber plant, in compliance with state laws and regulations. It plays a key role in our fiber expansion efforts, enabling us to bring fiber to new areas. This role may require being on call, adhering to varying schedules, and overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Locating underground utility lines
- Use stakes, flags, and/or paint to mark location
- Document completion and any problems
- Ability to route and manage your own workload independently
- Operate and maintain equipment
- Communicate with designated parties on updates and corrections
- Able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 75lbs
- Ability to maintain a clean driving record and driver’s license
- Being comfortable with working in varying elements
- Ability to navigate rugged terrain
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Regular reliable attendance

- Knowledge of GIS and GPS technology
- Adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to use mechanical and electrical equipment involved with locating utilities
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Detailed documentation
