About the Role
SNDL is seeking a results-driven Territory Manager to join our dynamic Sales team in Central Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, building and maintaining strong relationships with retail partners, and promoting SNDL’s portfolio of cannabis products. You will serve as a key brand ambassador in your region, ensuring an exceptional client experience and consistently exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a background in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beverage, or other competitive industries. The successful candidate will have strong business development skills, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to build lasting client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Execute regional sales strategies in alignment with national goals and objectives
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presenting to closing deals
Promote SNDL’s cannabis products to retail accounts and other relevant stakeholders
Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Retailer & Client Engagement
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retail partners
Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing support to accounts
Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with professionalism
Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the territory
Market Insights & Reporting
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer feedback
Deliver timely and accurate reports, forecasts, and market insights to leadership
Leverage data and analytics to inform business strategies and territory planning
Sales Operations
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools
Support the development of sales materials, product knowledge sessions, and marketing initiatives
Participate in trade shows, product knowledge sessions, and brand activations as required
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset
Minimum 2–3 years of proven sales experience, ideally within the cannabis, CPG, or beverage alcohol industry
Skills & Competencies
Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Deep understanding of the cannabis industry, regulations, and product landscape
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Flexibility to travel frequently within the assigned territory
Willingness to work evenings and weekends to support client schedules and industry events
Ability to pass a background check in compliance with federal regulations
Working Conditions
Field-based role with regular travel across Central Alberta
