The role of Business Development Executive in digital advertising will be responsible for growing Flickr's advertisement revenue. Being the initial hire dedicated to ads, you'll play a key role in shaping and advancing Flickr's advertising business; with success, you’ll also have the opportunity to build and lead an entire program.
Your opportunity:
- Represent a globally beloved photography brand and directly shape and grow Flickr’s direct ads business.
- Present product demonstrations and articulate the value proposition to key decision makers, showcasing how our digital-ad offerings can meet their specific needs.
- Lead Flickr's direct-sales efforts as an individual contributor, focusing on a two- to five-year horizon that encompasses team growth, expansion, and potential sales leadership opportunities.
- Own the entire sales cycle while working closely with cross-functional teams to provide market feedback, aiding in the development of better ad products.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing to define the narrative and execute strategic and tactical customer-acquisition initiatives.
Day to day:
- Responsible for increasing revenue in Flickr’s ads program through direct sales and brand partnerships.
- Own all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting, pipeline generation, and conversion with demonstrated ability to achieve quota and drive growth.
- Develop and manage a pipeline and forecast using Salesforce.

Beyond the skills:
- Role reports to the VP of Sales.
- We primarily use Salesforce (if you don’t have experience with this specific system, you can learn with us).
- About the Sales team: Currently, we’re a small team of 2! This will be our third hire in 16 months with ambitious growth plans over the next 3–5 years.
Awesome is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $50,000–$80,000. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
