Tech Lead – Platform & Backend (DevSecOps / Django)

Congrid is the market leader in construction quality and safety software in Finland. We provide digital solutions that make construction work more consistent, efficient, and safer.

We are looking for a Tech Lead to drive our technical platform, own our AWS infrastructure, and contribute to our backend. You will lead the Platform Squad, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and developer-friendly.

Your Role

You act as the technical backbone of the team. You are responsible for architecture and infrastructure, but you also contribute hands-on code.

• Technical Leadership: Lead execution, design AWS architecture (cost, performance, HA), and mentor engineers.

• Infrastructure & DevSecOps: Own the AWS environment. Manage IaC with Terraform, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and enforce security practices ("Shift Left").

• Backend Development: Contribute to the core platform using Django. We don't expect you to code 100% of the time, but you understand the stack deeply.

• Reliability: Ensure the platform is rock-solid. You resolve bottlenecks across backend and infrastructure.

Experience & Skills

Must-have:

• Several years of professional software development experience, primarily in DevOps and Backend development.

• Several years in a Tech Lead or senior technical role.

• Terraform

• Docker

• CI/CD pipeline experience

• Ownership mindset

• Python experience

Should-have:

• Security / DevSecOps awareness

• AWS production experience

• Django experience

Nice-to-have:

• Full DevSecOps depth

• Mentoring track record

• Experience in the construction industry
