  • The Sales Apprentice role will work alongside the Sales team to support sales generation, identify new sales leads and assist both the sales team and wider support functions. Daily activities will include engaging with new customers, exploring new opportunities, and contributing to core sales administration all with the overall goal of increasing the Sika brand presence, growing sales, and expanding the customer database. This is a field-based role with some office and home working and will involve regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders across the business.

  • In addition, we will provide full funding for your participation in the Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship, to be completed across an 18-month timeframe.

  • Starting as a Sales Apprentice you will develop essential sales skills and commercial knowledge with opportunities to progress to roles such as Business Delveopment Manager, Sales Executive, or Key Account Manager

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proactive and resilient approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisation, attention to detail, and time management are essential
  • Commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and confidence using IT systems such as CRM and Microsoft Office.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, adaptability, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities are also important.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Demonstrable interest in sales, business, and customer service.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Some prior work experience or exposure to customer-facing roles is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel or work in a field-based role as required.
  • Commercial awareness and an enthusiasm for developing a career in sales.
