Position Summary: As an EDI Integration Specialist I, you will own the end-to-end configuration, testing, and support of XML-based integration workflows between our platform and trading partners via SPS Commerce. You’ll translate client requirements into validated XML schemas, drive projects through SPS Commerce validation, and serve as a key technical liaison for both new onboarding engagements and production support cases.
Key Responsibilities
- SPS Commerce Integration
- Collaborate with clients and the SPS Commerce team to onboard, verify, and validate XML message schemas (e.g., Purchase Orders, Advanced Shipping Notices, Inventory) and label generation according to each trading partner’s spec.
- Upload/Trigger test files, review validation logs, and ensure zero-defect go-lives.

- Integration Change Management & Validation
- Partner with internal Engineering teams to review requested changes for trading-partner integrations, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and scoped.
- Validate and test proposed updates, such as field additions, element renames, or business-rule changes, against XML schemas and automation workflows.
- Coordinate deployment of changes into SPS Commerce (and any middleware), verifying end-to-end accuracy and performance before promoting to production.
- Maintain detailed change logs and collaborate on rollback or remediation plans to uphold SLAs and data integrity.
- Partner with internal Engineering teams to review requested changes for trading-partner integrations, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and scoped.
- API Testing & Validation
- Use Postman (or equivalent REST client) to test web-service endpoints and payloads.
- Validate HTTP calls, headers, authentication flows, and XML payload correctness.

- Project Management & Coordination
- Lead multiple concurrent implementation projects from requirements gathering through go-live.
- Track tasks, milestones, and risks in JIRA; maintain clear documentation in Confluence.
- Provide timely status updates, meeting recaps, and integration summaries to internal stakeholders and clients.

- Triage production issues, schema validation errors, payload mismatches, and connectivity problems drive root-cause analysis to resolution.
- Log and track support tickets in Zendesk (when used), escalate appropriately, and follow up until closure.

- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks (scripts, templates, or tooling enhancements).

Required Qualifications
- Hands-On Experience
- 1–2 years working with XML schemas in a B2B/B2C integration context (ideally within SPS Commerce or a similar environment).
- 1–2 years of client onboarding or implementation experience, translating specs into functional integrations.
- 1–2 years working with XML schemas in a B2B/B2C integration context (ideally within SPS Commerce or a similar environment).
- Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of XML (XSDs, namespaces, transformations).
- Practical experience using Postman (or similar API tools) for testing and validation.
- Basic scripting or SQL skills (e.g., SELECT queries, simple Python/Bash) for data look-ups and payload verification.

- Prior exposure to ANSI X12 standards (secondary to XML expertise).
- Experience with middleware platforms or custom integration frameworks.
