ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • The Performance and Quality Assurance Senior Manager translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution for the team tasked with debugging software products and using systematic tests for the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for firm products. The incumbent effectively cascades functional strategy to ensure software products are working properly, reliable and meet business requirements. They participate with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives to ensure optimal performance, reliability and scalability of software applications and systems.

WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:

Leadership & Supervision

  • Strategic leader, Directs operational units.
  • Directs the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management.
  • Leads team(s) to develop new methods and solve complex matters.
  • Responsible for supporting the talent strategy through hiring, onboarding, learning & development, performance, succession planning, engagement, recognition, and inclusion, diversity, and equity practices.
  • Responsible for fostering a work environment that encourages employees to act with integrity and respect.
  • Responsible for setting employee objectives and expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing meaningful feedback, and mentorship.
  • Responsible for supporting employee career development.
  • Contributes to development of strategies of a function or multi departments.

Knowledge & Application

  • Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness.
  • Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies.
  • Accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets.
  • Works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply.
  • Translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

Collaboration & Interaction

  • Interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers which frequently involves negotiating matters of significance to the organization.
  • Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.

This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The

Education

  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the Information Technology (IT) field. In lieu of a degree, at least 11 years of experience in IT

Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in IT
  • 4+ years of experience managing direct reports in Automated Quality Assurance, CI/CD, system integrations, etc

Preferred

  • Experience in quality assurance and performance engineering and tools
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Experience in DevOps Methodology, proactive approaches, shift-left and risk-based testing
