Ready to be a Titan?
ServiceTitan is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of our next-generation Data Sharing Platform—a core component of our Data Platform that enables secure, scalable, and governed data exchange with external customers. This is a highly technical, execution-driven role where you’ll turn architectural vision into shipped capabilities, own end-to-end delivery, and ensure the platform meets enterprise-grade performance, security, and usability standards.
You’ll partner closely with engineering, data architecture, and security teams to make technical trade-offs, instrument for reliability and observability, and drive adoption through robust APIs, metadata-rich schemas, and always-on operations.
What you'll do:
Platform Architecture & Delivery
Own the full product lifecycle for the Data Sharing Platform—from concept to production—ensuring every release meets technical, security, and operational benchmarks.
Define system design, data models, and API specifications with architects and engineers, balancing scalability, latency, cost, and maintainability.
Translate architecture into prioritized, actionable backlogs; deliver in iterative, high-quality releases.
Establish SLAs, performance benchmarks, and operational runbooks.
Technical Execution & Quality
Validate features against functional, performance, and security requirements prior to release.
Partner with engineering on incident root cause analysis and prioritize fixes, optimizations, and technical debt reduction.
Implement instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting to proactively detect performance or data quality issues.
Data Product Enablement
Define schemas, access controls, and sharing mechanisms that support compliant, consistent data delivery across business units.
Onboard internal data products to the platform, ensuring governance and performance standards are met.
Partner with API consumers to validate usability, performance, and integration patterns.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with external customers and internal product teams to capture requirements and translate them into platform features.
Ensure all capabilities meet regulatory, security, and contractual requirements in collaboration with security, compliance, and legal teams.
Deliver high-quality API documentation, integration guides, and developer resources for adoption.
Operational Excellence
Continuously improve platform scalability, performance, and automation.
Monitor production usage and analytics to guide roadmap priorities.
Stay ahead of emerging data sharing and platform technologies to keep the solution best-in-class.
What you'll bring:
8+ years in a technical product development role, such as data platform product manager, software engineer, data architect, or development manager, with experience in agile delivery, large-scale system design and ownership, data modeling, API design, problem solving, and analytics-driven decision making.
Strong technical expertise in data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), data sharing technologies, distributed systems, and API design.
Hands-on experience with data modeling, schema versioning, and data governance in enterprise environments.
Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, security controls, and observability practices.
Proven track record of delivering platform capabilities that are performant, reliable, and secure.
Ability to work directly with engineering to review designs, assess trade-offs, and resolve technical blockers.
Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, and incident response for data products/platforms.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with significant ambiguity, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a bias toward action.
