What you'll do:
- Become the Guardian of the Quality by planning, executing, and documenting comprehensive manual testing scenarios for our web-based security and backend platforms
- Own the QA process end-to-end, from test case design to bug reporting and regression tracking
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of product features by validating functionality against real-world edge cases and threat scenarios
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and security engineers to define clear acceptance criteria and testing scope
- Participate in sprint planning and product design reviews, acting as the voice of quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and streamline testing processes
- Contribute to automation frameworks and scripts as needed to support ongoing CI/CD initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll bring with you:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing of complex systems
- Proven experience testing web applications, backend services
- Solid understanding of software development life cycles (Agile/Scrum), QA methodologies, and test planning
- Experience writing detailed, structured test cases and executing regression, integration, and exploratory tests
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (HTTP/S, DNS, TCP/IP, proxies, etc.) — cybersecurity or networking experience is a strong advantage
- Ability to analyze logs, investigate issues independently, and communicate findings clearly to developers and stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and a mindset for breaking things in smart ways
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have but not a must:
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Typescript, Playwright, Postman, REST APIs)
- A start-up working experience, preferably in early stages
- B.Sc. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent knowledge
