Quality Engineer – Electrical Systems (Automotive)

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer with expertise in automotive electrical systems to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement of electrical components and wiring systems in our vehicles. You will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to uphold the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead quality assurance activities for electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, and control modules.
• Develop and implement quality control plans, FMEAs, and PPAP documentation for new and existing products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for electrical-related issues.
• Support supplier quality management, including audits, APQP processes, and incoming inspection of electrical components.
• Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, such as defect rates, warranty claims, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and reliability of electrical systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools like Six Sigma, 8D, and Lean Manufacturing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive quality engineering, preferably in electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive standards and tools: IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
• Experience with electrical diagnostics, circuit analysis, and wiring schematics.
• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OEM or Tier 1 suppliers.
• Familiarity with EOL testing, CAN communication, and electrical validation protocols.
• Certification in Six Sigma, CQE, or similar is a plus.
