We are seeking a Trucking/Motor Cargo Property Claims Examiner to join our Western Canada team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable, detailed, and timely service. Utilizing a ‘desktop’ model, IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and helps offset third-party adjusting costs.
Although intended to be a remote work opportunity, this position may require attendance in the office for training, client meetings, or team meetings with ample notification.
Responsibilities:
- Examine moderate to complex claims.
- Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations.
- Settle claims directly with Insureds or their representatives.
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for someone with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. Trucking/cargo claims experience is required. Third Party Liability, Bodily Injury and/or Accident Benefits experience is an asset.

- your completed CIP courses. CIP designation is helpful
- your ability to hold an independent adjusting license in Alberta, BC, Ontario/or Quebec and across Canada.

- your attention to detail and your ability to communicate professionally
