Job Description: We are seeking a contract blog writer with expertise in the medical field to contribute to our content on mental health and substance use topics. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced writer with a strong background in healthcare to create well-researched, insightful, and accessible blog posts for a broad audience. You will be responsible for producing one blog per week, each ranging between 1800-2000 words, based on outlines provided. The content must be backed by reliable sources, offering expert-level insights while remaining clear and engaging for readers who may not have a medical background.
Responsibilities:
- Write one 1800-2000 word blog per week on a mental health or substance use topic.
- Follow provided outlines to ensure content is aligned with the brand's voice and goals.
- Attend a weekly coordination meeting to discuss blog content, goals, and changes to writing style
- Conduct thorough research and utilize reliable sources to ensure the accuracy and credibility of each blog post.
- Write content that is both accessible and compelling to a general audience, simplifying complex topics without sacrificing depth.
- Naturally incorporate SEO keywords and phrases into the content to maximize search engine visibility.
- Potential to take on additional blog assignments on trending topics, for the same pay rate.
- Maintain a consistent output of high-quality content and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- A degree/credential in the medical field (e.g., Registered Nurse, Medical Professional, Healthcare Worker, etc.)
- 1+ Years Experience in SEO writing and getting the attention of online audiences
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality, well-researched, and engaging content.
- Strong command of grammar, writing style, and voice. Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
