The Team: The Global Gas and LNG Consulting practice is recognized for its regional and global expertise. We work with clients to develop gas/LNG strategies, assess gas value chain to support investment decisions and conduct commercial & economic evaluation of gas/LNG projects and contracts. Our clients include, integrated energy companies, utilities, governments, infrastructure players and investors in the gas value chain.

Impact: This role will drive the growth of the EMEA Global Gas and LNG Consulting practice through exceptional project management, subject expertise and eventual line management with a focus on market related and commercial aspects of gas and LNG. This role will also be crucial for our rapidly expanding global team’s ability to address growing needs for expert advice. This role will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team of consultants in EMEA and also to work with global experts from wide-ranging backgrounds in gas, LNG and energy. The varied and changing nature of our projects leads to development of a diverse set of skills, and relationship building with various types of clients, including senior industry leaders and policy makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage significant workstreams within a larger project in the EMEA region and/or globally, under the direction of the project manager or project director. The candidate will eventually be expected to manage entire projects as part of their development in the role.

  • Leverage consulting skillset to conceptualise then develop proposals and presentations.

  • Ability to reflect and communicate complex and opaque client needs with associated solutions using a variety of tools,to support business development and deliver projects.

  • Support and prepare for presentations to senior leadership across the energy value chain in the region.

  • Support proposal development and delivery process

  • Lead or co-lead project delivery meetings

  • Demonstrate expertise in the relevant energy industry or work process and ideally be a recognized expert on gas/LNG topics within the team and the broader organization.

  • Coach / mentor consulting team members and eventually manage a Spain based team as we expand

  • Challenge ideas and influence others in the team

What We’re Looking For:

  • More than 7 years of experience in industry, consulting, or finance environments, in areas related to Energy industry, preferably in gas/LNG market & commercial analysis and M&A

  • Experience with low carbon gases/biogases is a plus. This includes hydrogen and hydrogen carriers such as ammonia and methanol

  • Experience in consulting will be a significant plus

  • Minimum qualification is a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or economics.

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills in English, particularly with Microsoft PowerPoint and associated charting software such as ThinkCell

  • Ability to influence and persuade senior client stakeholders.

  • Some travel is required at up to 30% of time, on average

  • A desire to move into line management, or expand line management experience long term.
