The Communications Coordinator is a detailed-oriented and versatile professional who will ensure that our Press Releases, posted on our intranet and website, reflect high standards and style. The Communications Coordinator will develop a deep understanding of the internal processes used to produce, edit, and update new Press Releases for a variety of our professionals and clients. To succeed, you must be well-organized; have strong proofreading, editing, and communication skills; and be passionate about delivering exceptional client service in a global law firm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow our press release processes, working closely with requestors and the marketing team
Carefully proof all press releases
Rewrite content when necessary, amending or revising to ensure press releases reflect our style and ensuring client confidentiality
Research information from client websites for drafting press releases.
Draft new press releases
Work with the marketing team to hyperlink press releases back to client website
Provide quality control
Complete requests in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
Effectively communicate with requestors, including providing status updates on press releases in progress, soliciting input as needed, and securing approval to publish
Conduct outreach to lawyers and professionals to drive the process forward
Other tasks as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Excellent proofreading, writing and editing skills
Strong process execution skills
High proficiency in MS Word, Excel and data management software
Effective communication skills
Ability and willingness to build strong relationships and navigate across a matrixed organization
Impeccable attention to detail
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1-2+ years of corporate communications experience (preferably in the legal/professional services sector) or journalism experience
BA, BS or equivalent
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $20.38 - $28.85 /hour/hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
