Location: Remote – USA

The primary role of the .Net/C# and SQL Sr. Software Engineer is to build and maintain software applications using languages and technologies from the .Net framework. This person will create applications from scratch as well as modify existing applications, including the configuration, testing and deployment of those applications. In addition, you will provide application support for the applications built and managed by the team and will provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team to do the same.

On a daily basis, this person will work with a wide array of technologies, write and debug code, and collaborate with a team of software engineers, QA analysts and engineers, product managers, business analysts, and production support engineers to ensure that we build world-class software solutions that meet Revecore’s business needs.

The Role: 
  • Write clean, scalable, and secure code using T-SQL and .NET/C# programming languages for applications hosted on-prem and in Azure
  • Develop front-end and back-end components using Angular, .Net Core, C#, T-SQL, Javascript, Message Queues, and related technologies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient database schemas, stored procedures, and queries using SQL Server. Optimize database queries and web code for performance and stability.
  • Revise, update, refactor, and debug code to troubleshoot errors and improve the code
  • Follow Agile methodology of software development, participate in the team’s Agile ceremonies (Standup, Retro, Planning, Refinement, etc.).
  • Participate in requirements analysis and refinement – update requirements as needed
  • Produce and execute unit tests. Participate in code reviews and provide as well as incorporate feedback
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce and document scalable and consistent software design and architecture
  • Help junior members of the team to learn, follow, and adopt the team’s software engineering best practices, and help them with completing complex tasks.
  • Contribute to improving development processes, engineering tools, code quality, automation, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support. Work on Helpdesk Tickets as needed to provide Level 2/3 support

You’ll be successful if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline) or equivalent experience required
  • 6 or more years of software development experience required
  • At least 6 years of .NET/C# and T-SQL full-stack development experience required. Experience coding in C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server (T-SQL), REST, Angular, Entity Framework
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile/lean development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum and have a sound understanding of Agile methodology of Software Development Lifecycle
  • 2 or more years of experience developing and supporting applications hosted in Azure is required
  • 1-2 years of Healthcare or Insurance industry experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Healthcare EDI transactions is a plus
  • Experience working with large data sets and data transformations using ETL tools
  • Have a good understanding of secure coding guidelines, and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills combined with strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills to successfully partner with software developers, QA analysts and engineers, business analysts, data analysts, and production support engineers
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and be skilled in organizing and prioritizing work. Ability to produce accurate work while maintaining attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal direction
  • Working knowledge of or ability to learn Azure DevOps agile/lean development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum
  • Ability to learn Revecore operational processes, how they interact, and how the application enables those processes.

  • A secure home internet connection with speeds >20 Mbps for downloads and >10 Mbps for uploads is required.
  • The workspace area accommodates all workstation equipment and related materials and provides adequate surface area to be productive.
