Remote World is partnering with a UK-based telehealth platform to hire for this role. They connect patients with GPs and healthcare professionals via video and messaging, making healthcare accessible without the wait. Their support team helps patients navigate appointments, prescriptions, and the platform itself.
The role
You'll support patients via live chat and email — helping them book and manage appointments, access prescriptions, and resolve technical access issues. Healthcare support requires a higher level of empathy and discretion than most roles, and that's exactly what this team is known for.
What you'll do
- Handle inbound patient queries via live chat and email
- Help patients book, reschedule, and cancel appointments
- Guide patients through accessing their prescriptions and medical records on the platform
- Troubleshoot login and video call issues before and during appointments
- Escalate clinical or safeguarding concerns to the medical team immediately
What you'll need
- Warm, professional written English — patients are often anxious
- Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive health information
- Calm and composed — healthcare queries can be urgent and emotionally charged
- Reliable and punctual for shift coverage
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare, medical administration, or patient services
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms or NHS service pathways
- Background in customer support in a regulated industry
