We are seeking ahighly creative Front-End Developerwith exceptional experience inWordPress and JavaScriptfor one of our Australian clients. This is afull-time remoteposition for a developer who has a strong eye for design, thrives on crafting extraordinary front-end experiences, and can bring bold creative concepts to life through elegant code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and designvisually stunning, highly responsive, and user-centricWordPress websites.
- Implement and customizethemes, plugins, and front-end componentswith pixel-perfect precision.
- Work onextraordinary, design-driven websites— pushing creative boundaries whilemaintainingusability and performance.
- Collaborate with designers to translate complex UI/UX wireframes (from Figma or similar) into functional, responsive layouts.
- Optimisewebsites forspeed, SEO, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Create andmaintaincustom JavaScript functionalities, enhancing the interactivity and usability of WordPress sites.
- Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamlessAPI integrationsand efficient front-end workflows.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.Manageversion control(GitHub/GitLab) and perform routinesite maintenance, backups, and updates.
- Proactively contribute ideas toelevatedesign and user experience —we’relooking for someonewho’spassionate aboutdesign excellenceand innovation.
- Collaborate directly with client-side teams to ensure delivery aligns with brand standards and project goals.
Requirements
- 4+ yearsof professional experience inWordPress front-end development.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- ProvenexpertiseinJavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive frameworks likeTailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or Foundation.
- Advancedproficiencyincustom WordPress theme and plugin developmentfollowing W3C and WordPress coding standards.
- Strong grasp ofUI/UX principlesand a solid understanding ofmodern web design trends.
- Experience usingFigmaor similar tools to convert designs into interactive layouts.
- Ability to deliverextraordinary designs— someone who goes beyond templates and can create standout, modern visual experiences.
- Proven ability to transform design ideas intoextraordinary digital experiences.
- Experience working withWooCommerce, custom post types, actions, hooks, and REST APIs.
- Strong debugging, testing, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Bonus Points:
- Experience withHeadless WordPressor hybrid JS-based front-end setups.
- Knowledge ofSEO optimizationand performance best practices.
- Prior experience working in acreative or digital agencyenvironment.
- Familiarity withReact or other modern JavaScript frameworkswill be a strong plus
