About Seeking Magazine

Seeking.com, the world's premier luxury dating platform for successful, high-value singles, is launching Seeking Magazine, a digital-first publication designed to become the definitive voice for successful people who prioritize successful relationships. Modeled after world-class lifestyle publications like Robb Report, ForbesLife, and Town & Country, Seeking Magazine will feature thought leadership, relationship insights, lifestyle content, and success stories.

Our long-term vision is to scale the magazine into a recognized digital news destination (with syndication to platforms like Google News) and ultimately into a premium print edition.

We are seeking a talented Editor who is hungry to build something from the ground up and has the potential to grow into the role of Editor-in-Chief within 18-24 months.

The Role

As Editor, you will:

Editorial Leadership

  • Shape and execute the editorial strategy for Seeking Magazine
  • Research, write, and edit compelling content on relationships, lifestyle, success, and culture
  • Develop engaging features, series, and long-form storytelling that resonate with our ambitious, high-value audience
  • Ensure content quality, originality, and alignment with Seeking.com's brand values

Content Operations

  • Build and manage a network of freelancers, contributors, and thought leaders
  • Commission and manage high-quality content from external writers
  • Maintain an editorial calendar and oversee consistent publication cadence
  • Implement SEO best practices and work toward syndication platform requirements

Strategic Growth

  • Track analytics and audience engagement to inform editorial decisions
  • Collaborate with the Co-CEOs on brand alignment, messaging, and growth strategy
  • Build processes and systems that can scale as the publication grows
  • Prepare the foundation for eventual transition into Editor-in-Chief role as the magazine scales

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (Journalism, Communications, English or related field required) required. Graduate degree preferred. Minor in Economics preferred.
  • 3-7 years of editorial experience (online, digital, or print)
  • Demonstrated writing and editing excellence with portfolio to match
  • Strong eye for detail, narrative, and tone
  • Comfort with digital publishing tools, SEO best practices, and syndication platforms
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: eager to build processes, experiment, and grow
  • Cultural alignment with Seeking.com's mission: successful people prioritizing successful relationships

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience commissioning and managing freelance writers
  • Familiarity with luxury, lifestyle, or relationship industries
  • Clear ambition to grow into an Editor-in-Chief role
  • Data-driven approach to audience development
  • Network of media contacts and a knack for trend-spotting
  • Experience with content management systems and analytics tools
  • Understanding of Google News and other aggregator requirements

Why Join Us?

  • Build a new luxury lifestyle publication from the ground up—rare opportunity to shape a brand from day one
  • Play a central role in shaping how success and relationships are discussed on a global scale
  • Grow your career into an Editor-in-Chief role with real influence (fastest track in the industry)
  • Work directly with the Co-CEOs of Seeking.com on a mission-driven brand redefining love and success
  • Access to resources and backing of an established, profitable company
  • Freedom to innovate and implement your editorial vision

The Ideal Candidate

You're currently a Senior Editor, Managing Editor, or ambitious Editor ready for your next challenge. You understand the luxury lifestyle space and can authentically connect with successful, sophisticated audiences. You're equally comfortable writing a data-driven SEO piece and a thoughtful long-form feature. You have opinions about what makes great digital magazines and ideas about how to make them better. Most importantly, you see this as your opportunity to build something significant.
