Challenges You Will Solve
The Director of Total Rewards will develop, manage, and lead all aspects of the employee compensation , benefits and compliance programs within the organization. The Total Rewards leader will first seek to understand business needs and build a cohesive and collaborative work environment, partnering effectively across a variety of stakeholder groups to accomplish objectives aligned to the organization’s business plan. This role works alongside the broader Talent team and focuses on collaborative solutions that have a true business impact.

What You'll Do

  • Design, administer, and communicate Red Canary’s compensation plans, benefit plans, and reward programs that are well understood and valued by managers and employees; ensure the consistent application of our pay philosophy, align market cost competitiveness, and drive the pay for performance culture
  • Analyze and interpret relevant market data, and develop recommendations for updates to job architecture, salary structures, and benefits offerings to ensure internal equity and market alignment of total compensation
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration
  • Maintain knowledge of economic conditions, labor market, and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures
  • Partner with our business leaders, teaching them about the tools which Red Canary enables them to engage, including making sure they fully understand our total reward structure composed of full compensation plans, policies, and initiatives
  • Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with leaders and managers across the organization to ensure our compensation structure supports our strategic objectives
  • Partner with Finance on executive compensation budget, tax and accounting issues
  • Partner with Legal to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and in the future global laws
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the benefits team that results in effective and efficient management of programs and partners (negotiate favorable renewals, manage open enrollment processes, robust employee communication plans, wellness and health education initiatives, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining a proactive approach with new and anticipated changes to legislation and regulation, which may impact organizational processes and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver communications that help our employees understand and appreciate the value of their total compensation, inclusive of benefits, base, bonus, equity, programs related to holistic wellbeing, etc.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the following areas: benefit plan design and program administration, equity administration, experience designing, managing and administering compensation programs including incentive compensation plan design and executive compensation
  • International experience; creating and managing strategy and execution of global compensation and benefits programs
  • Demonstrated success with vendor selection and management
  • Expert level knowledge of global, federal, and state laws pertaining to employment, pay, labor, privacy, and other compliance protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous environment
  • Strong blend of business acumen, project management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by ability to focus on business needs
  • Motivated to pursue new and alternative strategies along with a willingness to experiment with differently approaches
  • Ability to effectively communicate compensation and benefit related concepts, practices and procedures effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to exercise professional maturity and discretion when dealing with sensitive data; can handle confidential information discreetly
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for data, metrics, and trends; experience performing complex reporting, dashboarding and data analytics
Compensation Range: $167,000 - $175,000 USD + bonus and equityApplication Deadline: June 10, 2024
