Reconext

Reconext’s story began in 1983, when a television repair shop in Frankfurt, Germany, was established with a simple idea: electronics should remain useful for as long as possible. That early repair operation evolved into 4L, a global reverse-logistics business focused on wireless and electronics customers. In 2020, Teleplan and Clover Wireless combined their complementary operations and adopted the Reconext name, creating a broader platform for aftermarket lifecycle services. The company has since continued investing in automation, custom testing technology, and standardized operating processes that make large-scale electronics recovery practical.

Today, Reconext helps manufacturers, retailers, carriers, insurers, operators, and data centers manage devices after they leave the point of sale or enter retirement. Its services include repair and refurbishment, trade-in and buyback programs, returns management, IT asset disposition, testing and grading, data-center decommissioning, and responsible recycling. The company operates a global network of 22 facilities across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, applying shared workflows, systems, and standards. By restoring products, securely erasing data, and recovering materials that cannot be reused, Reconext seeks to reduce electronic waste and support customers’ circular-economy objectives.
