Software Engineer, Retention

Our Retention Team is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build social features that allow for the creation of real memories in Rec Room. Your data driven, iterative work will enable players to express themselves regardless of the platform they play on, find their best friends, and shape the Rec Room community together with us.

• Ship social features that allow players to create memories with others, with a focus on play and expression on mobile
• Iterate and AB test features, using quantitative and qualitative data to inform future iterations
• Work autonomously to solve technical problems and collaborate with cross-discipline teams

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production-ready code using C#
• 1+ years of experience building iOS applications in Unity
• Comfortable iterating, experimenting, and working with data
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous, and ambiguous environment
• Excellent cross-discipline communication skills
• A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve

• Experience working on Social Games or Products
• Experience developing for multiple platforms (mobile, console, VR)
• Passion for game design, specifically game feel and high-quality player feedback
• Experience working on a live online service
