About the Role
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Java Support Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer) to help monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data and application flows, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and scalability. You’ll work at the intersection of development and operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and supporting a robust infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor scheduled Informatica Cloud jobs (CDI, CAI, CMI) and resolve failures or performance issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and escalate issues as needed.
Optimize job run times and contribute to performance tuning strategies.
Support maintenance activities including patching and upgrades.
Develop scripts and alert mechanisms to proactively detect failures.
Analyze and document SOPs for recurring operational tasks.
Design, build, and test distributed backend services and microservices.
Integrate with third-party platforms using REST/SOAP.
Work closely with global teams across the full SDLC, from design to deployment.
Engage in incident troubleshooting with support teams and resolve production issues.
Requirements
Education:
Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Professional Experience:
4+ years in software development, preferably in backend/SRE roles.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java or Python (compiled languages).
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Experience with Kafka, Zookeeper, and microservices architecture.
Hands-on with Informatica Cloud (CDI, CAI, CMI) and job performance tuning.
Skilled in SQL and databases: Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, NoSQL (MongoDB, Elastic Search).
Familiarity with cloud storage platforms: AWS S3, Azure Blob, GCS.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
Experience with ITIL, ServiceNow, Jira, and Linux environments.
Comfortable analyzing logs and debugging issues in distributed environments.
