The Employee Relations Manager leads the organization's teammate relations function, serving as the expert on workplace investigations, ER risk management, and consistent application of policies and practices. This role is responsible for overseeing employee relations matters end-to-end, designing and formalizing investigation and ER processes, and equipping HR and leaders with the tools, guidance, and training needed to address employee concerns effectively and fairly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with deep expertise in employee relations and workplace investigations
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws (e.g., harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ADA, FMLA, wage & hour)
- HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR)
- Expert investigation and fact-finding capability
- Experience partnering closely with Legal or Compliance
- Excellent judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity
- Influential advisor to leaders and HR peers
- Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Calm, credible presence in high-stakes situations
- Experience in multi-site, regulated, or high-risk environments
- Familiarity with HR case management
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
