This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our software applications, ensuring they align with business objectives, meet high-quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the application development strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor high-performing teams of application developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Establish and communicate clear expectations for performance, accountability, and professional development.
Project Management:
- Oversee the full software development life cycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement and refine project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality Assurance:
- Define and implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software applications.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure and improve the performance of the development team.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of applications into the overall technology ecosystem.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between development teams and other departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role overseeing application development teams.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
