Job Description for Backend Developer-AWS Connect in Melbourne.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Experience in either Amazon Connect or Amazon Lex is a must with + Java + Web Services or

Microservices

Requirement:

5+ years of Software development (APIs, Web services, Web applications, apps, etc).

Experience with AWS Connect solution design and implementation, and continuous

improvement/maintenance

Experience with RESTful API strategy, development and management.

Strong knowledge of AWS.

Understanding of modern web applications and SPAs.

Familiar with leading technologies enabling DevOps (CI/CD).

Have broad experience with Java.

Familiar with managing workloads in Kubernetes.

Strong knowledge of branching strategies and Git.

Strong knowledge of using code analysis tools like Checkstyle, PMD, Spotbugs.

Familiar with SCA tool like dependency checks.

Familiar with Bash scripting.

Extensive experience with Microservices concepts like Authentication and Authorization,

logging, correlation, observability and tracing.

Ability to support and monitor APIs / software that is deployed to production.

Ability to deliver complex technology programs in agile environments.

Responsibilities

Work closely with a dedicated cross functional team

Work mostly from home (if desired)

Follow SAFE Agile practices

Deliver new functionality

Support existing functionality (with a Dev Ops mind set)

Bring your expertise to :

o diagnose prod issues

o design new features

o contribute to the team

Deliver strategic complex business solutions catered around backend APIs.

Develop great solutions on our most ambitious work.

Identify solutions to business requirements.

Estimate and plan workloads for upcoming sprints.

Frame development solutions and explain thinking in a compelling way.

Ensure development is maintainable, reusable and of high quality.

Identify problems or areas for continuous improvement and provide solutions proactively.
