Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs training on all aspects of User Acceptance Testing
- Provide support for Quality Analyst 1
- Interacts with project managers and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
- Responsible for designing and writing test scripts
- Perform hands-on testing
- Writes testing procedures
- Plans and executes performance testing
- Analyzes, develops, and executes test data validation strategies to validate reports and data
- Participates in spec reviews and requirements’ definitions in order to detect measurable requirements for testing (completeness and accuracy)
- Reports and communicates on test activities
- Logs and tracks defects through resolution
- Trouble shoots and investigates production issues
- Provides technical assistance and advise to team members
- Create, prepare, and deliver test scenarios, test strategies, reviews and test data while adhering to business process and test standards.
- Conduct user acceptance testing on technical work items delivered for the business
- Provide detailed description of scenarios that failed
- Verify and validate business requirement against business process
- Report defects in test management tool and manage them throughout their lifecycle
- Determine if assigned scenarios pass or fail and record findings
- Partner with the business to engage and lead transparent testing efforts.
- Author complex test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
- Partner with testing team and business to select test scripts and regression test scripts to represent business process.
- Perform complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation.
- Support the User Acceptance Testing as part of the end-to-end process of seeing requirements through to completion
- Apply medium to advanced testing tool knowledge to efforts.
- Learn PPL customized system and remain up to date on system functionality and features
- Support functional areas with other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Communicates effectively at all levels
- Proficiency designing, developing, and executing functional testing deliverables
- Working knowledge of performance testing for web applications
- Experience with manual testing
- Ability to learn and adapt, and the ability to assimilate new technologies quickly is a must.
- Capable of understanding products and processes and break them down into testing components
- Structured and organized – excellent management of time and priorities.
- Adaptable to changes
- Analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Comfort working in an Agile test environment
- Payroll operations experience preferred
- Experience of creating test data in the SQL database system
- A team member in DevOps or Agile Scrum teams; having experience working with cross-functional teams including Operations and IT
- Experience with data ingestion through ETL
- Experience using task boards and IT ticketing system such as Microsoft Azure, Jira
- Experience working with application development and product launch team to release a product against target timeline
- Healthcare finance background preferred
- Payroll operations experience preferred
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant technical discipline required Education:
