Sign Language Interpreter Part Time 24 VRS at Home Overnight
Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high quality professional American Sign Language interpreting through videoand/or on-site at various customer locations when needed.Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language and spoken English language skillsand spoken Spanish skills, accurateinterpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
Pay Range: $15.74-$65(based on location, education, certifications, and interpreter specialties)

Job Requirements:
Must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week
Must be able to work between the hours of 9p to 5a PST each weekMust be able to accept new or alternative interpreting assignments for a scheduled shift based on customer demandMust have a secure, lockable room in your primary residence or on your personal propertyMust pass company's interpreting skills assessment for English/ASLand Spanish/ASL interpreting skills assessmentMust attend and successfully complete a 40 hour New Hire TrainingMust be willing to allow for the ability of remote monitoring and oversight of the At Home environment and both ends of a call (video and audio)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting and onsite interpreting for consumersSupport and model the company's mission and valuesProvide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleaguesExhibit professional behavior at all times including punctuality and preparedness for shifts, respectful and collaborative interaction with colleagues and supervisors, and timely and accurate record keepingAdhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the company and all FCC regulationsDemonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technologiesMulti task between interpreting effectively while utilizing video based technologyParticipate in company-sponsored training for Professional DevelopmentExhibit the ability to meet performance expectations with minimum supervisionPossess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environmentDemonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all settingsAbility to independently travel. Where driving is required for onsite work, access to a vehicle, valid driver's license and required insurance is necessaryOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualification Requirements:
One (1) year of professional interpreting experienceOne (1) year Video Relay Service interpreting experience in a call center environment, preferredMust have a valid and current NAD IV/V, BEI - Advanced or Master or RID certificationPossess fluent ASL and spoken English language skillsand spoken Spanish language skillsAble to provide accurate interpretationPossess a good understanding of Deaf cultureThorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional ConductYou must be 18 years or older to applyPossess, as applicable, state licensure or credential requirements for state licensuresDisclaimer:
