Laboratory and Purchase Service Sourcing is a department of Strategic Sourcing comprised of multiple departments supporting our enterprise-wide non-laborer contract infrastructure. Its mission is to maximize clinical and financial value on products, equipment, services and support to strengthen our One Ministry Committed to Excellence by delivering a robust foundation of common products.

Resource Engineering & Hospitality (REH) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health and Services in supply chain services and systems in support of our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to Texas. REH's objective is to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is enhanced along with the overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.

Providence is calling a Contract Sourcing Administrator, Lab and Purchase Services who will:

  • Perform contract administrative work including analysis review, contract execution, contract management activities in all platforms
  • Be responsible to support contract lifecycle management activities including contract extensions, price accuracy, new product introductions, tier maximization, terms and conditions updates, identifying and implementing alignment/standardization opportunities, and all other lifecyle activities
  • Be responsible to support Contracting team in preparing, negotiating, and executing contracts. This includes working with the contract through all phases until completion (pre-proposal through closeout) with a variety of suppliers
  • Administer multiple contracts pertaining to the various contract categories for Strategic Sourcing which could include, medical supplies, Implantable Devices, Capital and others as determined
  • Support the development, integration, implementation and optimization of the sourcing strategy
  • Work across Providence to partner and lead strategic plans around system wide initiatives, ensuring compliant, effective operational experience for business partners
  • Act independently within all lifecycle management activities of a contract
  • Promote cost effectiveness and operational efficiency in the contracting, purchasing, and utilization and for performing other duties and responsibilities in support of the programs

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance -OR- a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of contracting and purchasing or related educational experience
  • 3+ years of contract Management and contract negotiations experience or a blend of healthcare or educational experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Medical Surgical: Preference given to healthcare and or contract administrator work experience
  • IT Sourcing: Preference will be given to applicants with IT, or Healthcare experience
  • Lab or Purchase Services / Indirect spend souring experience

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
