What you will be doing:

You will be leading the Agile content & innovation platform area, inclusive of growing and nurturing the PMI community identifying with or utilizing agile practices, supporting development of PMI’s suite of agile offerings and content, executing strategy of Agile Alliance, and leads global debate and positioning of enterprise agility. This role ensures the Agile content and innovation platform has a clear direction, strong momentum, and growing influence through the development, execution and integration of initiatives to grow and nurture a thriving Agile ecosystem within PMI, inclusive of leading Agile Alliance entity. This role is responsible for establishing global community as a hub for learning, networking, and professional development through knowledge sharing, influence, and innovation. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Stakeholder Collaboration and Community Engagement

  • Lead the development and execution of initiatives to grow and nurture the agile community, engaging volunteers and thought leaders, empowering content creators, and fostering a dynamic environment where professionals can connect, learn, and contribute both in person and online. (Build and grow a specialized online community, and foster engagement across both our digital platforms and local chapters)

Agile Subject Matter Expertise & Thought Leadership

  • Be the leading external “face” of the platform and promote PMI-affiliated subject matter experts. Champion PMI’s voice and presence in the agile space, and grow PMI’s authority through our community and product offerings.
  • Serve as an agile SME, providing insights on Enterprise Agility, Disciplined Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean and more.

Product & Content Development

  • Guide the development of content, learning, and products — in partnership with volunteers — that align with real-world needs.
  • Provide market insights to influence agile-related product development and learning experiences.
  • Contribute to market research, intelligence and analysis to identify agile trends, opportunities, competitors and gaps in the project management learning landscape, and make recommendations for customer experience, marketing, promotional activities and other actions

What you will bring to the role:

  • 5+ years experience running a nonprofit organization
  • Deep leadership experience in operations, development, programs, and communications
  • Experience/exposure to Agile values, practices and principles
  • Experience serving on or working directly with a nonprofit board
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and engage with event planning
  • Ability to review budgets and manage funding streams
  • Experience working in international contexts
  • Technical skills within communication and collaboration tools, spreadsheets, websites and social media
  • Familiarity with the Agile community
  • Ability to inspire confidence in teams and build trust with and align teams and the Agile Alliance Board toward common vision, goals and strategies
  • Collaborative leadership skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Facilitations skills
  • Ability to generate revenue from member/subscriber based communities
  • Ability to work effectively across a wide variety of organizations
  • Travel is 10-20%
