We are entering a new phase for Prismic’s Page Builder.
As agentic workflows become a first-class way to create and manage content, the editor experience cannot be a thin wrapper around “AI actions.” It must be the place where those actions feel natural, fast, and trustworthy from the first prompt to the final publish.
Agentic workflows introduce new interaction patterns across the entire editing lifecycle: discovering the right content through smart search, watching work happen through streamed responses, and running multi-step operations that may span pages, slices, assets, and collaborators. These workflows only succeed if the Page Builder provides the right primitives: real-time feedback, clear progress and status, predictable performance, and UX that keeps users in control.
We are evolving the Page Builder into an agent-ready surface, a rich editing environment where humans and agents collaborate seamlessly.

As Prismic scales, our ambition grows: the Page Builder is no longer just a visual editor; it is the foundation for all agentic workflows.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Page Builder Squad and build a rich, engaging editing experience designed for agentic interactions end-to-end.
You will help shape:
- A generic Prismic agent experience embedded directly in the editor.
- Smart search that helps users find, trigger, and guide agent workflows.
- High-quality streaming interactions that show work happening in real time.
- The editor-side foundations (real-time collaboration, updates, notifications, UX primitives) that allow agent capabilities to scale without degrading usability.

What you will be doing 🔧
- Build and ship a rich Page Builder experience designed specifically for agentic workflows.
- Implement smart search and discovery mechanisms that infer user intent and surface the right actions or agents.
- Engineer high-quality streaming interactions that show agent progress in real time with clear states and feedback.
- Design UX primitives for long-running, multi-step workflows spanning pages, slices, assets, and collaborators.
- Strengthen real-time collaboration capabilities to ensure agent and human edits coexist safely and smoothly.
- Develop robust notification and status systems that make asynchronous and background operations visible and understandable.
- Improve performance and predictability across the editing lifecycle so agent-driven workflows remain fast and responsive.
- Collaborate closely with designers and PMs to translate complex AI workflows into intuitive editing experiences.
- Ensure the Page Builder architecture can evolve as new agent capabilities are introduced, without introducing UX fragmentation or technical fragility.

Are you the one? 🧠
Ideally, you:
- Have strong experience building complex frontend applications with React and modern TypeScript. You are a full-stack engineer or aim to become one.
- Care deeply about user experience, especially in highly interactive, stateful applications.
- Understand real-time systems: collaboration, live updates, conflict handling, and low-latency feedback loops.
- Think holistically about UX primitives, loading states, progress, notifications, streaming, error recovery, not just individual components.
- Are comfortable designing scalable backend services when needed to support editor capabilities.
- Think pragmatically about performance and predictability in rich editing environments.
- Thrive in close collaboration with designers to shape intuitive interaction models for new paradigms.
- Write clear code and design docs, and raise the quality bar through thoughtful code reviews.
- Are curious about agentic AI workflows and how they reshape interaction patterns in software products.
- Care about building systems that remain usable and coherent as capabilities grow.
Bonus points
- Experience building page builders, visual editors, or other rich content creation tools.
- Experience implementing real-time collaboration systems.
- Experience integrating streaming APIs or real-time AI interactions into UI surfaces.
