Here at Prescient Security, we’re looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality products and raising the bar on engineering standards. In this role, you’ll own the complete testing and quality process across all phases of development, from early design through release. You’ll partner closely with developers to embed quality at every step, introduce best-in-class testing practices, and ensure that new features ship with confidence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Own the complete testing and quality process across all development phases• Establish and maintain testing standards, guidelines, and documentation• Guide and mentor developers on testing best practices, helping them write effective unit and integration tests• Work closely with development teams to ensure new features include comprehensive test coverage from the start• Write, execute, and maintain automated tests using industry-standard frameworks• Embed quality gates and testing checkpoints throughout the development pipeline• Perform thorough manual testing when automated coverage is insufficient• Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability and qualityWork Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles• Experience building testing processes and embedding quality practices into development workflows• Proficiency with pytest and Jest or similar JavaScript/TypeScript testing frameworks• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python• Solid understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing)• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration• Understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks• API testing experience• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plusYour base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
