SAP BW/4HANA Lead

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Lead with strong ABAP expertise to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced data warehousing and analytics solutions. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders. You will oversee the delivery of SAP BW/4HANA solutions, ensuring best practices in architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:Solution Design & Implementation:

• Lead the design and end-to-end implementation of robust SAP BW/4HANA solutions.
• Architect scalable and efficient data models using ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and Open ODS Views.
• Implement complex transformation logic using ABAP routines and best practices.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide direction and mentorship to SAP BW developers and junior team members.
• Define development standards and ensure alignment with SAP best practices.
• Lead performance tuning efforts for data flows, reports, and ABAP routines.

Data Modeling & Integration:

• Integrate SAP BW/4HANA with SAP ECC/S/4HANA and non-SAP systems.
• Use ABAP to develop or enhance extractors and implement complex ETL routines.
• Collaborate with HANA modelers and functional consultants for hybrid modeling scenarios.

Reporting & Analytics:

• Guide the development of reporting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI tools.
• Align data models with business KPIs and enable enterprise-wide analytics capabilities.

Support, Troubleshooting & Optimization:

• Lead root cause analysis for critical data and performance issues.
• Debug and optimize ABAP code within transformations, extractors, and exit routines.
• Continuously improve ETL and data modeling performance and reliability.

Documentation, Governance & Training:

• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for data models, ABAP logic, and solution architecture.
• Train and support internal teams and end-users on BW/4HANA best practices.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards.

Qualifications:Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP BW/4HANA and/or ABAP certification is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of total SAP BW experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA.
• Demonstrated leadership in end-to-end SAP BW/4HANA implementation and support projects.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth expertise in SAP BW/4HANA architecture, data modeling, and ETL.
• Advanced ABAP skills, including:
• Start, End, and Expert Routines
• Customer Exit Variables (e.g., EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001)
• Extractor enhancements (e.g., RSAP0001)
• Debugging and performance optimization
• Proficiency in SAP HANA Studio, Eclipse-based modeling tools, and SQL scripting.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and integration with BW/4HANA.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and BI best practices.
