API Architect

We are looking for an experienced

API Architect

to work in Ponsse Group Digital Services & IT team.

Group Digital Services & IT team is in the core of Ponsse`s future offerings connecting the physical and digital space. The team is currently building the next generation of digitalservices to provide functional and delightful solutions for Ponsse customers and business network. We have a strong technical foundation with a state of art cloud platform on Microsoft Azure and we utilize modern technologies together with our best experts and partners.

In this roleyou are responsible for designing API's and system integrations. You will design orchestration of processes between systems, create implementation plans for API's that meet business requirements and technical standards. You will develop and maintain API strategy, guidelines, and best practices. Additionally, you will ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. In this position you will work closely with the system and data architects to create innovative solutions for our customers.

Required qualifications in this role:

• Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Several years of experience and proven track record of developing enterprise level APIs.
• Understanding the API first approach.
• RESTful API Modelling Language (RAML) and XML knowledge.
• Experience with iPaaS solutions, preferably Mulesoft.
• Knowledge of GIT, Azure DevOps, and Snowflake (is desired, but not required).
• Keen on agile methodologies.
• Fluent written and spoken English, other language seen as benefit.

As a person, you can collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners and troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.You are proactive, creative and have excellent communication skills.You also have strong problem-solving skills.

You will be part of the Ponsse’s Group IT team, reporting to Data and API solutions and working closely with the IT team globally across the Ponsse countries and subsidiaries.

Your working location is negotiable - office locations available in Finland could beTampere, Turku, Seinäjoki, Kajaani, Kuopio or Vieremä or Czech, Sweden, Norway, Ireland / Remote work location. We are working hybrid model. Some amount of travelling will be required in this role.
