Description

PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Program Manager, oversee accessibility subject matter experts delivering accessibility training solutions to users within our Government client to ensure information and communication technology (ICT) products meet the United States Access Board’s Section 508 Standards. Ensure all digital and electronic information and technology is accessible to individuals with disabilities. This senior role involves leading strategic initiatives, managing complex projects, providing expert guidance, and driving organizational change towards full accessibility compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's Section 508 compliance strategy.
  • Advocate for accessibility and drive organizational commitment to creating accessible products and services.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive Section 508 compliance program.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility into all phases of product and service development.
  • Ensure consistent application of Section 508 standards across all departments.
  • Engage with senior leadership to align accessibility goals with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to executive leadership on all matters related to accessibility compliance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, advocacy groups, and vendors.
  • Develop and deliver advanced training programs for staff on Section 508 standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members and other stakeholders in accessibility roles.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Section 508 standards and guidelines, as well as policies and procedures.
  • Lead comprehensive audits and assessments of digital content, software applications, and websites to ensure compliance with Section 508.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans for identified compliance gaps.
  • Regularly report on compliance status, risks, and progress to senior management.
  • Develop, update, and enforce organizational policies and procedures related to accessibility compliance.
  • Stay current with changes in accessibility laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure organizational policies are up to date.
  • Prepare detailed reports, including compliance metrics, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities, training sessions, and policy updates.
  • Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance accessibility.
  • Collaborate with industry experts and participate in professional forums to stay abreast of new developments in accessibility.
