About PICO California
PICO California is the largest faith-based community organizing network in the state. Our network is made up of nine local affiliates who organize across 18 counties, representing 500 congregations and nearly 650,000 Californians. Our mission is to mobilize spiritually-centered people power to uplift the vulnerable and build a thriving future for all. Since our founding in 1994, we have empowered individuals to advocate for justice and systemic change.
We focus on key issues such as affordable housing, racial and economic justice, and immigrants' rights. Over the years, our grassroots organization has successfully led campaigns that resulted in significant policy changes to enhance the lives of Californians. Our strategy combines faith, grassroots organizing, and community engagement to build networks that address societal inequities. Our vision includes a moral economy where resources are equitably distributed, and communities can thrive, grounded in the values of inclusion, compassion, and justice.
