Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
• Own revenue accounting for subscription and usage based SaaS models.
• Review customer contracts for appropriate revenue treatment under ASC 606.
• Manage deferred revenue schedules and ensure accurate revenue cutover and allocation.

Process Improvement & Systems
• Evaluate and enhance accounting workflows to support scalability.
• Assist with the implementation or optimization of systems.
• Strengthen internal controls and documentation.

Audit & Compliance
• Prepare audit schedules and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and any relevant regulatory requirements.

Cross Functional Partnership
• Support FP&A with actuals, variance analysis, and budgeting inputs.
• Provide accounting guidance for new product features, pricing models, or monetization changes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.

• 5–8+ years of accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred revenue, and subscription billing.
• Experience with modern accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and improve processes in a fast paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice to Have
• Experience at a high growth SaaS or tech company.
• Familiarity with metrics such as ARR, churn, net retention, etc…
• Prior experience managing or mentoring staff.

• Experience with automation tools

We offer a salary range of $90,000-$100,000 per year, with compensation tailored to your background, strengths, and potential to grow within the team.
The salary range listed for this role reflects our commitment to pay transparency and is based on market data, internal equity, and the scope of responsibilities. compensation will be determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s experience, skills, and the specific team or product area they support.
