WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Graphic Design
- Create visual design solutions that will be used to complement learning/marketing materials, including:
o Creating graphics to accompany text
o Converting photographs and drawings into digital images and then manipulating those images (i.e. models, flowcharts, icon development)
o Designing page layouts, interfaces, navigation components, video, and animations
o Creating proposals and/or assets
- Consult with clients and our internal project team regarding graphic deliverable needs, including material branding, stock photography, corporate style guides, etc…
- Ensure all final deliverable materials adhere to client requirements (e.g. quality check for fonts, graphic resolutions, branding, etc…)
- Make decisions about visual design, animation and interaction design to ensure an optimal learning experience
- Interpret and incorporate feedback from colleagues and clients
Project Management
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and project-scope based on your contribution
• Self-manage smaller projects
Technology
- Continually build your expertise in various design and development tools (e.g Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro/After Effects, Canva, & variety of rapid authoring tools such as Articulate 360 & Vyond)
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Formal training in Graphic Design required
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Life Sciences an asset
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite required
- Experience using Articulate 360 an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, and to work independently and collaborate in a high-performance team environment with demanding deadlines
- Demonstrated skills in critical thinking
- Demonstrated ability navigating ambiguity and problem-solving capabilities
