We are looking to fill a Senior Scientist I – Potency Assay position working as a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients located in Rahway, NJ. This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
Supports routine testing for release, stability studies, in-process, and/or cell-line development
Monitors the controlled temperature units, incubators
Completes sample submission & sample management
Maintains accurate documentation and records
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience in biology or related field,
or a Master’s degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience in biology or related field,
Required Skills and Experience
Current cellular and/or molecular biology and immunoassay experience
Analysis of biologics including monoclonal antibodies and/or other therapeutic molecules in one or more of the following techniques:
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and binding potency assay
Cell-based assays, e.g. reporter gene assay
Automated liquid handling system, e.g., Bravo, etc.
Analytical software including Softmax Pro, (user level)
Experience with BSL2 (Biosafety Level 2)
Sample submission & sample management
Cell culture (typically mammalian)
Documentation (electronic notebooks)
Desired Skills and Experience
High throughput liquid handling
Project management, e.g. sample management
