The Network Engineer is responsible for leading the direction of internal team members and vendors related to all network and telephony infrastructure. This includes primary services like firewalls, routers, switches, WAPs, load balancers, and IDS devices. The position also must monitor and maintain systems that run these services, participate in planning meetings, help employees with problems , and provide expertise to keep the services running over the network at all Paradies corporate and field sites. Ensure the integrity and high availability of the network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the user community that includes Paradies Lagardère Support Center staff, field personnel, clients, partners, customers, and suppliers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in deploying and maintaining all network components throughout US and Canada
  • Lead in implementing policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected
  • Lead in establishing, implementing, and enforcing enterprise network and telephony standards, practices, and policies
  • Identify and recommend new technology utilization within the corporation
  • Evaluate new information system products or services and suggest changes to existing products or services to better aide the end user
  • Take responsibility for the success of all network related projects within the company
  • Setup, configure, deploy & support network in the PLSC and Field stores.
  • Provide remote support to business areas and users as needed.
  • Connect with retail / dining areas to discover existing devices and network setup in the field
  • Writes, maintains, and reviews complete and concise technical and project documentation
  • Manage and coordinate order, ship, stage, track, setup, update, configure and maintain network equipment
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain network and support business needs
  • Perform incident / resolution on assigned tickets to drive & document fixes
  • Leadership qualities to include mentoring others Engineers and willingly providing knowledge transfer and training to other IT employees
  • Lead building the network design and implementing various network technologies
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Experience in managing projects in an IT network environment that includes Engineering, Operations, Security
  • Ability to manage various vendors and ensure quality and SLA standards are met
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and crimping tools
  • Ability to work independently on projects and daily activities
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when required
  • Participates on 24/7 on call support as part of a team rotation
  • Travel, typically overnight, required for some locations
  • Provide support for a broad range of end-user issues when needed

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have extensive experience with Fortinet solution & devices including wired / wireless networking, cybersecurity, firewalls, switches, access points, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience with networking, permissions, security, and telephony technologies
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience with systems like firewalls, routers, load balancers, and switches
  • Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience with SD-WAN (Fortinet)
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and network terminologies and remain current with the "state of the art" technologies as it applies to secure connectivity
  • Experienced in best practices for the use of a distributed Microsoft network
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal skills; must be able to work effectively with other team members
  • Present training presentations on multiple technical levels
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Excellent team collaboration skills and proficient in establishing and maintaining effective communication and processes
  • Experience reading wire lists and cable drawings
  • Experience managing vendors/third-party service providers
  • Strong understanding of the following technologies: MPLS, SD-WAN, IPSec Tunnels, SSL VPN, MFA, Radius, All Network Layers, Public and Private Cloud, Data Center technologies, FC, FCoE and iSCSI, SIEM

This position is Remote and has a 25% travel requirement
