At Oxfam America, we are driven by a profound belief in the inherent dignity of every individual and the vision of a just world without poverty. For over 50 years, our culture has been rooted in tackling the systems that perpetuate inequality and injustice. We are part of a global Oxfam confederation, working in more than 90 countries, to bring about lasting solutions. Our approach is not merely about providing aid, but about empowering communities and fostering systemic change. We believe that poverty is not inevitable; it is the result of human action and inaction, and therefore, it can be ended. This conviction fuels our commitment to working alongside local partners, who are best positioned to understand and address the unique challenges their communities face.

Our values of equality, courage, empowerment, solidarity, inclusiveness, and accountability are at the core of everything we do. We strive to create a workplace and a world that reflects these principles, actively working to develop a culture grounded in feminist principles and anti-racism. We offer lifesaving support in times of crisis, providing immediate relief such as clean water, food, and cash to those made vulnerable by conflict, climate change, and other disasters. Simultaneously, we advocate for long-term economic justice, gender equality, and climate action. We challenge governments, corporations, and international institutions to adopt policies and practices that benefit everyone, not just a select few. We believe in the power of people to drive change, and we work to amplify the voices of those who are too often marginalized, ensuring they have a seat at the table in decisions that affect their lives. The future we envision is one where everyone can thrive, not just survive, and we invite all who share this vision to join us in making it a reality.
