Osborne Association

The Osborne Association is a non-governmental, multi-service, criminal justice reform, and direct service organization dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal legal system. Established in 1933 through the merger of the Mutual Welfare League and the National Society of Penal Information, it focuses on rehabilitation and creating better outcomes for those impacted by incarceration. With operations in community offices across New York and inside numerous state prisons and jails, Osborne aims to transform lives by addressing the challenges faced by justice-involved individuals.

Osborne's programs emphasize family connectivity and reentry support. They provide educational opportunities, mental health services, parenting resources, and job training to enhance the reintegration process of formerly incarcerated individuals, ultimately promoting public safety and reducing recidivism. The organization engages in policy advocacy at both the state and national levels, focusing on the rights of children whose parents are incarcerated and working to reform policies that disproportionately affect communities of color.
