Job Title: SeniorData Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S Required)

Organizational Level: Senior Software Engineer I

Salary Range: $145,000-$200,000

About the Role

OpenTeams is hiring for a Senior Data Engineer to maintain and improve core data infrastructure for a key client account. In this role, you will architect and implement the critical data foundations required to fuel advanced analytics and AI initiatives. Your primary focus involves hands-on development in SQL and Python within modern cloud environments, and you will be instrumental in creating high-performance generation pipelines for product models that deliver significant enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build of ETL processes in collaboration with software and model development teams.
  • Create and maintain scalable data infrastructure.
  • Own full pipeline and infrastructure lifecycle including performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Maintain and improve existing pipelines, ensuring stability over existing requirements and adapting to new needs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Expert proficiency in SQL for heavy utilization in building data assets and complex pipelines.
  • Full proficiency in Python for data processing tasks and pipeline integration.
  • Experience manipulating, aggregating, and expanding large-scale data assets.
  • Proven experience with cloud solutions, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MLOps, including model deployment and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with ETL pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
  • Experience working in direct collaboration with downstream data consumers responsible for feature engineering, training, and monitoring of deep-learning models.
  • Experience working in a remote environment, collaborating with hybrid teams
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing technical role
