Multimedia Designer
Reports to Group Creative Director - Patient Engagement
Job Summary
As Patient Engagement Multimedia Designer, you will be joining the busy Patient Engagement content team to support and enhance our creative offering. Your role will be to support in the visual communication of all Patient Engagement outputs, from research and insights analyses to direct-to-patient educational content. You will be confident in designing for a wide range of media outputs, from internal PowerPoint presentations to global websites. You will be passionate about designing healthcare content for a lay audience and have experience in direct-to-patient communications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As part of the OPEN Health Patient Engagement content team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:
- Developing a variety of creative and healthcare/scientific graphics, concepts, and visual-related assets in a fast-paced, timeline-driven work environment
- Working faithfully within brand guidelines and campaign strategy
- Representing the agency internally and externally as a digital design expert to help support clients and influence campaign strategy
- Leading and owning all assigned projects and making sure they are delivered per specifications, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
- Reviewing and graphically enhancing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
- Designing healthcare education posters using Adobe CC software
- Adapting existing and newly created layouts for different formats (print and digital)
- Creating cohesive design formats across various materials relative to target audiences
- Providing creative design recommendations based on experience and account/client needs
- Researching and providing concepts and mock-up designs as needed for new business and pitch presentations
Experience,
- Bachelor degree in graphic design, animation, marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field
- Experience within a medical communications agency, publications agency, medical advertising agency, and/or pharmaceutical graphics department or healthcare charity
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects)
- Knowledge of UI/UX including Interactive prototyping (Adobe XD, Figma), HTML5, and CSS
- Expert level knowledge in MS PowerPoint
- Significant working knowledge and experience in the use of MS365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong knowledge of video editing and animation
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities, with the ability to delegate and set clear expectations
- Ability to work both independently and in a team structure
- Ability to learn new creative software and utilize additional software function
- Stay “on trend” with design elements through personal research
- Strong organization and project management capabilities
- Ability to receive feedback/creative direction
