At Open Farm, we are revolutionizing the pet food industry through groundbreaking ethical and sustainable practices. Founded in 2014 by Isaac Langleben, Jacqueline Prehogan, and Derek Beigleman, our mission is to deliver exceptional nutrition for pets while simultaneously driving a positive impact on animal welfare and the planet. We recognized a significant gap in the market for pet food that truly prioritized transparency and ethical sourcing. This realization fueled our commitment to create a new standard, one where every ingredient is meticulously sourced and fully traceable back to its origin. Through our innovative platform, pet parents can instantly trace the origin of every ingredient in their bag of Open Farm pet food by simply entering a code found on the packaging. This level of transparency is unprecedented in the industry and underscores our dedication to building trust with our customers.

Our innovation extends beyond traceability to the very core of our product development and supply chain. We partner exclusively with farmers who share our unwavering commitment to exceptional quality and sustainable practices. This means sourcing Certified Humane® and Global Animal Partnership (GAP) audited meats, ensuring that farm animals are treated with kindness and respect. In 2019 alone, we sourced 2.3 million pounds of Certified Humane and GAP Certified meat, a figure we continuously strive to increase. Furthermore, our commitment to environmental sustainability is demonstrated through initiatives like our partnership with Loop, introducing reusable and refillable packaging to reduce single-use waste. We are constantly evaluating and improving our supply chain, seeking new ways to minimize our carbon footprint and challenge industry norms. Open Farm offers a diverse portfolio of premium pet food products, including dry food, wet food, freeze-dried raw options, gently cooked meals, treats, and supplements, all crafted with clean, nutritious whole foods and without artificial flavors, preservatives, or fillers. We believe that by providing superior nutrition and championing ethical practices, we can empower pet parents to make choices that benefit their pets and contribute to a healthier planet.
