We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing on general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute on general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Perform monthly and annual financial close procedures.
- Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure proper financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Assist in financial audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
- Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a SaaS and technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
