Why Offchain Labs?

Our team is committed to bridging the gap between the current state of blockchain and its potential. Our flagship product, Arbitrum One, is a dominant force in Ethereum scaling and is trusted by enterprises, developers, and users worldwide. But that’s just the beginning. Our passionate team is constantly building on this success, rolling out innovative tools such as Arbitrum AnyTrust, Arbitrum Orbit, Stylus, BoLD, and Arbitrum Nitro. Offchain Labs also contributes to the Ethereum core protocol with the Prysm consensus client.

  • Create and oversee competitive bidding cycles (RFQs, RFPs) and manage the procure-to-pay process, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and payment for goods and services.
  • Provide procurement research, guidance, and direction to other departments to support strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Oversee the full vendor lifecycle, including due diligence, onboarding, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best deals and terms, manage disputes, and ensure supplier performance meets standards.
  • Implement best practices for managing vendor risk, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Act as a strategic partner to budget, manage and optimize the corporate travel program, ensuring employee compliance with company policy and external regulations.
  • Leverage technology to automate booking and expense reporting, track real-time spend, and ensure traveler safety and duty of care.
  • Drive improvements in financial systems and integrations, with a focus on automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement new financial technologies, such as procure-to-pay or vendor management software, to streamline operations and enhance financial visibility.

Who you are:

  • Fast-moving, curious, and collaborative.
  • Always working toward high-impact outcomes.
  • Committed to transparency, trust, and clear ownership across teams.
  • Focused on building a supportive environment where people can do their best work.
  • Intentional about how we scale our operations, process, and systemsLean, agile, and unafraid to dive into the details to get things done

What you'll need:

  • 6+ years of progressive financial operations or accounting experience, including time in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and hands-on experience managing procure-to-pay processes, vendor relationships, and corporate travel programs.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, and Navan.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, with a track record of driving process optimization and implementing financial technology solutions.

Offchain Labs is at the forefront of blockchain innovation, dedicated to pioneering and advancing scaling solutions for Ethereum. Founded in 2018 by Ed Felten, Steven Goldfeder, and Harry Kalodner, the company emerged from deep research at Princeton University with a clear mission: to enable developers, businesses, and individuals to fully experience Ethereum's capabilities without compromise. Through groundbreaking technology, Offchain Labs is revolutionizing the Ethereum ecosystem with Arbitrum, its flagship suite of scaling solutions. Arbitrum utilizes an 'Optimistic Rollup' technique, which significantly increases transaction throughput and reduces costs while maintaining the robust security of the Ethereum mainnet. This allows decentralized applications (dApps) to operate with enhanced efficiency and scalability, paving the way for broader adoption and more complex use cases.

The core of Offchain Labs' innovation lies in its commitment to research and development. The team continuously builds upon its foundational technology, introducing enhancements and new products like Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova, Arbitrum Orbit, Stylus, BOLD, and Arbitrum Nitro. Arbitrum One is designed for general-purpose dApp scaling, while Arbitrum Nova caters to applications demanding even higher throughput, such as gaming and social platforms. Arbitrum Orbit empowers developers to launch their own customizable Layer 3 chains. A significant milestone in Offchain Labs' journey was the acquisition of Prysmatic Labs in October 2022, the team behind Prysm, Ethereum's leading consensus client. This strategic move further solidified Offchain Labs' dedication to contributing to the core Ethereum infrastructure and its long-term success. By focusing on making blockchain technology more accessible, efficient, and powerful, Offchain Labs is actively shaping the future of decentralized systems and fostering a more scalable and user-friendly Web3 environment.
