Reporting to the Innovation Manager, this position is for the development of process steam distribution and control systems for industrial applications, particularly for chemical and petrochemical plants. This role will leverage experience with gas-fired boilers, electrified boilers, heat exchangers, electric heaters, steam valves and steam control systems combined with analytical skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and innovative team. Steam systems experience is required, basic understanding of nuclear power generation is preferred.
Requirements
- Leads the development of process steam systems for pressure/heat-augmentation, distribution and interfaces with industrial steam consumer facilities.
- Defines requirements and specifications.
- Identifies and proposes optimal solutions to meet customer requirements through technical analysis and cost/benefit trade-off analysis.
- Performs thermodynamic analysis of steam systems using modeling and simulation tools.
- Works on complex tasks in multiple and diverse areas.
- Stays current on latest technologies and processes relevant for process steam and industrial power applications.
- Defines the scope of work of interdisciplinary systems and acts as the technical liaison between the R&D team, procurement and external EPC and subcontractors.
