Numeral ( ) is a venture-backed SaaS startup building the modern operating system for accounting teams. Our financial data management solution provides companies a real-time view into into their financials and empowers them to make better decisions, faster.

We are tackling a massive problem and market (>$20B in the US alone) that is ripe for disruption. Today, many accounting and finance teams rely on manual processes and spreadsheets to sift through millions of transactions when reporting their financials. Christopher is the CEO of Numeral with a career focus on building and scaling SaaS organizations from 0-1M, 1-10M, 10-100M+ ARR.

Yufei is the CTO of Numeral with a career focus on building and delivering products globally to hundreds of millions of users.

Who You Are

We are looking for a Founding Engineer to join on the ground floor of an early stage startup. As an early member of the team you’ll have an incredible influence in establishing the culture, processes, and tools that will be used.

• Work directly with our CEO, CTO, and other engineers to build full stack features and improvements to the product
• Work across the entire stack using cutting edge frameworks, tools, and own execution
• Take true ownership of your work and lead key components of our product roadmap
• Make key architectural decisions in our tech stack to support scaling up to 100M+ transactions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Hiring for senior (5+ years experience) and mid-level (2-5 years experience) positions
• Comfortable working full-stack; good product intuition and user empathy
• Solid engineering fundamentals and passion for high quality code
• SQL knowledge a plus but not required
• Experience with payment processor APIs (Stripe, Braintree, etc) a plus

  • Meeting attendance is expected during working hours of 10am-5pm PST.
  • For all IC work, you are free to work on items whenever as long as timelines are met. If you get your work done and work with the team in a timely manner, we trust you to have full control over your schedule.

  • Compensation ranges from $135k-$200k, based on experience and interview performance.
  • As an early member of the team, you will receive significant and meaningful equity
• Weekly happy hours and quarterly offsites

*We trust you to take necessary time off to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Though not a hard cap, we encourage 15 days minimum as a general guidance
