Responsibilities

What’s in it for you?

As a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with top-tier engineers on modern DevOps practices to re-image bare-metal Kubernetes installation, configuration and support using GitOps and IaC enabling and scaling mission-critical infrastructure and operations. This role involves creating new clusters and managing maintenance of existing clusters in a footprint that spans over 400 Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across a global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and cloud-native).
• Manage and operate Kubernetes infrastructure at scale (400+ clusters).
• Participate in a global 24/7 follow-the-sun model for incident response; provide technical support ideally during standard business hours (8/5).
• Build, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Manage networking, DNS, Linux systems, and core infrastructure services.
• Implement GitOps workflows for CI/CD and configuration management.
• Support and integrate technologies such as VMware, OpenShift, and Dataform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform scalability, security, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as a Kubernetes administrator—able to deploy and manage Kubernetes as a platform (not just app support).
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes in bare-metal environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices (e.g. Terraform)
• Proficiency in Linux, networking, and DNS management.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows (e.g., Argo CD, Flux).
• Experience with EKS (AWS) and/or AKS (Azure).
• Proven ability to build and manage infrastructure for large enterprise systems.
• Nice to Have:
• Experience with OpenShift and VMware environments.
• Familiarity with data infrastructure automation.
• Background in SRE or Platform Engineering roles.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security hardening and observability tooling.
