The story of Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group is one of strategic convergence, born from a rich legacy of engineering excellence and a forward-looking vision for a healthier planet. Its journey began not as a single entity, but as a collection of specialized companies, each a leader in its own right within the cryogenic industry. For nearly 75 years, Cryogenic Industries, Inc. and its member companies, including household names like ACD, Cosmodyne, and Cryoquip, were diligently manufacturing engineered cryogenic gas processing equipment and small-scale process plants. They were the silent engines behind the liquefied natural gas (LNG), well services, and industrial gas sectors, building a reputation for quality and innovation. A pivotal moment in this narrative arrived in August 2017, when Nikkiso Co., Ltd., a Japanese global leader in advanced technologies, acquired Cryogenic Industries. This acquisition set the stage for a new chapter.

This new chapter officially began in February 2018, with the functional consolidation of Cryogenic Industries and another Nikkiso subsidiary, Nikkiso Cryo, Inc. This strategic fusion gave birth to the Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group. It wasn't merely a rebranding, but a fundamental restructuring designed to create a powerhouse in the clean energy and industrial gas markets. The Group was organized into distinct functional units: Cryogenic Pumps, which merged the expertise of Nikkiso ACD and Nikkiso Cryo to become the largest cryogenic pump company in the world; Heat Exchanger Systems; Process Systems, driving growth in hydrogen and natural gas fueling; and Cryogenic Services, providing a global support network. This integration allowed the Group to offer comprehensive, innovative solutions, from individual components to fully integrated turnkey systems. Today, with a clear mission to 'lead the change to a healthier world,' the Group is at the forefront of the global energy transition, leveraging its deep cryogenic expertise to advance hydrogen liquefaction, fueling infrastructure, and carbon capture solutions, continuing its journey from a group of specialized pioneers to a unified global leader in clean energy technology.
